How JS Aesthetics Beauty Lounge collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: August 2026
Who we are
JS Aesthetics Beauty Lounge is an aesthetics and beauty clinic based at 4 Lord Wardens Court, Bangor, County Down, BT19 1GJ. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the “data controller” for the information described below. You can reach us on +44 7889 178320.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, phone number and social media handle when you message us on WhatsApp, text, Instagram or Facebook.
- Consultation and medical information — your medical history, medications, allergies, previous treatments and relevant health details, taken at consultation so treatment can be carried out safely.
- Treatment records — what was carried out, which products and batch numbers were used, the dates, and any aftercare given.
- Photographs — before and after images, where you have given us permission.
Health information is treated as “special category” data under UK GDPR and is handled with additional care.
Why we collect it
- To assess whether a treatment is safe and suitable for you.
- To carry out the treatment you have booked and provide aftercare.
- To keep the clinical records required by our insurer and by professional standards.
- To contact you about appointments.
- To show treatment results, but only where you have specifically agreed to that.
Our lawful basis
We process your contact details to perform the service you have asked for. We process health information on the basis of your explicit consent, and because it is necessary for the provision of healthcare and treatment. We keep records where we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest in doing so, including for insurance purposes.
Photographs
We will never publish a photograph of you without asking first. Consent is separate from your treatment — declining will not affect the care you receive, and you can withdraw permission at any time by telling us. We will remove the image from our website and future posts, though we cannot always control copies already shared by others.
How long we keep it
Clinical and treatment records are kept for as long as our insurer and professional obligations require, which is generally a minimum of eight years after your last treatment. Enquiry messages that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as needed to respond.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We may share it where necessary with our insurer, with a medical professional in the event of a complication, or where the law requires it. Messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook process messages under their own privacy policies.
This website
This site is hosted via Apex. It has no contact form, no newsletter signup and no login. Any details you send us come through the messaging or phone links provided. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may record your IP address as part of serving them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it (subject to the record-keeping obligations above), object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and revise the date above.
